Fundação Joana Vasconcelos supports the iniciative Nós Reciclamos (We Recycle), promoted by the Public Security Police – Lisbon Metropolitan Command. 

Nós Reciclamos is a competition launched to the schools and the elderly in the metropolitan área of Lisbon to create a “Police Officer Dummy” with recycled materials. The competition aims to strenghten the bonds between the PSP and the age groups involved, as well as stimulate the use of recycled materials.

The competition has completed its second edition in 2014 and has exceeded all expectations, as more than a hundred institutions have registered, which involded around 3.000 people.

The “Police Officer Dummies” were displayed at Champalimaud Foundation, between 7 and 29 May 2014.

Joana Vasconcelos was part of the panel for the selection of the winners.
